Our Commission is the Great Commission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:19, 20
The Living Word Chapel is a non-denominational, multi-racial part of the Body of Christ, bringing all the glorious ways to praise our Lord together. We hold the Bible - Old and New Testaments, as the Word of God - proven to be so by the scientific, archeological and supernatural evidence it presents.
"Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever."Hebrews 13:8
Therefore, we stand today in the same authority as given to all believers in Mark 16:15-18, and have seen and testify to these signs in our midst.
We welcome and encourage diversity and variety in worship - sometimes quiet, sometimes jubilant, but always respectful and according to God's Word.
"...without love, we are nothing." 1 Cor 13:2
Statement of Faith
Living Word Chapel & In His Name Ministries
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God the Father, Creator of Heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell;
the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God,
the Father Almighty,
from thence He shall come
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Universal Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting.
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God,
written by men whom the Holy Spirit led
and gave a special wisdom to;
66 books written by 40 inspired authors.
The Spirit (Holy Spirit)
and the Word (Jesus the Christ) agree,
and they together reveal to us
Truth, wisdom and light.
Personal revelation that cannot be
verified in Scripture is opinion,
and not necessarily true.
The written Word of God demonstrates
that it is True through history,
and agreement with all the rest of Scripture.
We believe in the Trinity as One God,
and Three Expressions,
shown to us through revelations in Scripture -
The Father, the Son of God (The Word), and the Holy Spirit.
The Son of Man – the Word of God became flesh
through the virgin birth (John 1:1),
through the blood of the virgin Mary,
the Word became flesh and dwelt among us
as sinless man living a sin free life
under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
following and working with Father God to
reconcile us back to Him.
We believe in miracles, signs and wonders,
given to us by following the teachings
and the life of the Word of God,
the Son of Man, Jesus the Christ.
The Christ came, demonstrated that
He was the Son of God,
who became the Lamb of God,
and paid for our sin
by conquering death through
His resurrection from the dead and
through His suffering (Isaiah 53),
paid for our healings,
and by faith in His act
we attain sanctification and forgiveness of sin.
We believe that the fall of man through Adam,
the first man, has been overcome by Jesus the Christ,
and the sentence of death and destruction
has been overcome by giving us the new birth,
(2nd Corinthians 5:17, Romans 10:9&10),
making eternal life available to us by faith,
and making Heaven our home,
establishing us as saints –
members of the Kingdom of God.
Hell is a real place that we are
redeemed and protected from.
Heaven is our eternal home,
and faith in the sacrifice of the Christ
by the love of the Father with the Holy Spirit
is our guarantee.
Jesus’ sacrifice of death on the Cross & Resurrection
made available to us gifts from the Holy Spirit.
That is the new birth, which can be followed by
the baptism of the Holy Spirit,
with evidence of speaking in tongues,
which opens the door to
deeper and further Spirit communication
and workings of signs, wonders,
and gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12&14).
Speaking in tongues is a prayer language
that comes with the infilling of the Holy Spirit
(1 Corinthians 14:4).
Healing of soul, mind and body
has been made available,
but must be operated and attained
through faith and obedience.
We believe in water baptism, holy communion,
the tithe and offerings to Jesus’ Church,
ministers, and home and foreign missions.
We believe that the five-fold ministry
is still in effect today,
and that the rapture and the return of Christ
are imminent as He promised.
Final judgment will be at the end of time
as the Bible describes,
and will divide the believers from non-believers,
obedient from disobedient,
lovers of God from haters of God.
There will be a new Heaven and a new earth,
and the victorious saints will rule and reign with Christ
by the Holy Spirit in the presence of the Father eternally.
The five fold ministry
(Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher)
is the guiding structure that is to be followed
to edify and train the Body of Christ.
God is a good and loving God, but He has standards
